Upgrade You: Simple Changes, Powerful Energy, Infinite Potential

         Finger Pointing at You!!!

Upgrade You:

Simple Changes, Powerful Energy,

Infinite Potential

Upgrade You: Why THIS Is the Book You Need to Become Your Best Self (Without Losing Your Mind)

The New Year is here — that magical time when we all suddenly decide we’re going to be better humans. We buy fresh planners, new pens, overpriced water bottles, and tell ourselves things like:

“I will wake up at 5 AM.”
“I’m giving up sugar, dairy, bread, Netflix, and negativity.”
“I’m going to meditate for 45 minutes every morning.”

And by January 14th?
We’re eating cereal in bed, scrolling TikTok, and wondering why self-improvement feels like boot camp for the emotionally exhausted.

But what if upgrading yourself didn’t mean suffering, sacrificing joy, or becoming some robotic version of perfection?

Enter Upgrade You: Simple Changes, Powerful Energy, Infinite Potential — the self-improvement book that actuallygets it.

Why “Upgrade You” Is the New Year Book You Didn’t Know You Needed

Unlike those intense, guilt-inducing “fix your whole life by 5 PM” manuals, Upgrade You shows you how to become your best self through small shifts, big laughs, and actual real-life changes you can stick to.

No gurus.
No pressure.
No shame for choosing tacos over treadmill time.
Just honest, funny, practical wisdom from Dr. Rob Alex.

Inside the pages, you’ll learn how to:

✔ Make simple adjustments that elevate every part of your life
✔ Upgrade your energy without burning out
✔ Add metaphysical magic to everyday actions
✔ Build confidence and self-worth that last
✔ Stop chasing perfection and start celebrating progress
✔ Laugh at your mistakes instead of crying into cheesecake
✔ Create a life you love, without needing a yoga mat made of unicorn fur

This book isn’t here to “fix” you — you’re not broken.
It’s here to help you upgrade you… with humor, heart, and a whole lot of freedom.

New Year, New Energy: Why NOW Is the Perfect Time to Upgrade

January isn’t just a month — it’s a vibe.
It’s a metaphysical reset button wrapped in sparkly energy and fresh-start momentum.

You’re already thinking about changes.
You’re already imagining a better version of yourself.
And “Upgrade You” shows you EXACTLY how to do it without the burnout, shame, or 42-step morning routines that require a small team of assistants.

This New Year, don’t promise yourself you’ll be perfect — promise yourself you’ll be better, a little at a time.

That’s where the magic happens.
That’s where YOUR infinite potential wakes up.

Why Readers Are Loving “Upgrade You”

➡ It’s fun.
➡ It’s relatable.
➡ It’s profoundly honest.
➡ It feels like talking with your funniest, most encouraging friend.
➡ It gives you tools you can use TODAY — not someday.

Readers aren’t just reading the book — they’re laughing, reflecting, clearing out old energy, shedding outdated habits, and upgrading everything from their mindset to their relationships.

What Makes It Different From Every Other New Year “Change Your Life” Book?

Realness. Humor. Humanity. And metaphysical goodness.

This book acknowledges:

  • You’re busy

  • You’re human

  • You’ve tried self-improvement before

  • And you’re tired of feeling like you're “not enough”

Upgrade You flips the script.
It says you are enough — and now it’s time to build on that foundation in small, powerful steps.

Like cleaning your inner energy junk drawer.
Or learning to say “no” without writing a four-paragraph apology.
Or celebrating tiny wins that add up to big transformation.

The New Year Is Coming… and So Is the New YOU

This is the year you stop fixing yourself and start upgrading yourself.
This is the year you accept your quirks, honor your energy, raise your standards, and step into your potential without pressure or perfectionism.

Let the Universe see you shine.
Let your life expand.
Let your spirit recharge.

And let Upgrade You guide you through the journey — with laughter, heart, and a whole lot of “you’ve got this.”

SHADOW MAN: THE AWAKENING

Man in Trench Coat Walking down rainy London Street.

SHADOW MAN: THE AWAKENING

When the system fails to deliver justice, one man decides to take matters into his own hands. London is a city of shadows, where danger lurks in the streets and criminals believe they can get away with anything. James Walsh was once an elite soldier in the British Special Air Service (SAS), a man trained to face the most dangerous situations imaginable. But after years of military service, traumatic experiences and a devastating struggle with his mental health, he has lost everything. Discharged from the military and living rough on London's streets, Walsh has become a ghost in the city he once served. Until one night changes everything. When he witnesses a brutal attack on a young woman and realises that the perpetrators may never face justice, something inside him awakens. The soldier he thought he had lost returns, bringing with him the skills, discipline and lethal instincts of his former life. A new identity emerges: the Shadow Man. Operating in the darkness, Walsh begins a personal war against London's criminal underworld. But what starts as a campaign against street criminals soon exposes something far more dangerous: an international criminal network stretching from South London to Istanbul. As the stakes rise and powerful enemies emerge, Walsh finds himself confronting ruthless crime bosses, organised violence and forces with connections reaching into the highest levels of power. Yet the greatest danger may not come from his enemies. As Walsh pushes further into his violent mission, he must confront the consequences of his actions and the question of how far a man can go in pursuit of justice before he becomes something he once fought against.

The Codex of Leaves: A Gothic Romantasy of Dangerous Secrets and Fated Mates

Gothic Romantic Couple locked in an Embrace

The Codex of Leaves:

A Gothic Romantasy of Dangerous Secrets and Fated Mates

(The Weave Saga Book 1)

She can read the memories of the dead. The living Codex has been waiting for her.

Eva Vance has spent her life hiding an impossible gift.

With a touch, she can hear the memories objects leave behind—secrets buried in blood, grief, and time. All she wants is to protect her sister and escape the forces that have hunted them for years.

Then her gift draws her to Thorne Manor.

Beneath its rain-darkened halls, Eva discovers forbidden laboratories, ancient wards, and a living book bound in copper and silver leaves. The Codex knows her bloodline. It knows why she was summoned.

And it remembers Sebastian Thorne.

Brilliant, dangerous, and nearly three centuries old, Sebastian is the immortal guardian of a Threshold sealed beneath his family’s estate. He knows more about Eva’s inheritance than he will reveal—and far less than he should about the power awakening whenever they touch.

Eva does not trust him.
Sebastian cannot afford to need her.

But when the wards begin to fail and a fanatical order closes in, they are forced into an alliance neither can control. Every secret the Codex reveals draws Eva deeper into a forgotten war. Every touch strengthens a bond that feels less like magic than fate.

Eva was never summoned merely to open the Codex.

She was summoned to rewrite the laws of their world.

To save her sister and keep the Threshold from falling into enemy hands, Eva must decide whether trusting Sebastian will give her the power to protect everything she loves—or surrender her future to a destiny chosen long before she was born.

But awakening the Threshold may require the one choice she fears most: trusting Sebastian with her sister’s life, her own destiny—and her heart.

The Codex of Leaves is an adult gothic romantasy about Eva, who is drawn into the mystery of an ancient book that remembers. Blending Victorian atmosphere, dark academia, dangerous secrets, living magic, and a slow-burn romance, it opens the door to the Weave Saga.

The Witness

Man with finger up to mouth in a shhhh way

The Witness

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU COULD SEE HIM.

Maren Voss takes things out of rooms for a living. From a spare bedroom in Van Nuys she lassoes laundry baskets and single running shoes out of real-estate photos, until each house looks like nobody was ever sad there. In a rental in Glendale, in the middle of June, she takes out a long wool coat hanging on the back of a door.

Her sister Nat sat in their mother's hospital room for five weeks. Maren came twice, and the second time she left at four in the afternoon for a delivery. She still hasn't called Nat back.

On the drive home she stops at an empty red light. Across the road, in a bank drive-through, a man is standing with his arms at his sides. The clearance bar crosses him at the chest. It reads 8 FT 6 IN.

He is looking at her.

"Looking's free," a stranger tells her through the glass.

His face is the one Nat wore in that room, sorry and settled in to stay until it's over.

Book one of a trilogy.

Windemere Bay is a peaceful summer resort at the New Jersey Shore, where families return year after year for sun, swimming, and relaxation. For twenty-year-old college student Alex Rhodes, it’s supposed to be the perfect escape—lazy beach days with friends, a summer job at the local supermarket, and the hope of finally asking out Grace, the new cashier who catches his eye. Then the notes appear. On the Fourth of July, identical typed messages turn up in every mailbox: “SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE TONIGHT.” Most people laugh it off as a sick prank. Until the assistant groundskeeper is found floating lifeless in the resort pool the next morning. The police rule it an accident. Alex isn’t convinced. When a second body turns up—and then a third—the pattern becomes impossible to ignore. As more cryptic warnings appear, the idyllic resort begins to feel like a trap, and Alex realizes someone at Windemere Bay may be hiding a deadly secret. With the body count rising, Alex and his tight circle of friends race to uncover the truth before another life is taken. In a close-knit summer community where everyone knows your name, the killer could be anyone. Murder at the Shore is an atmospheric whodunit blending small-town secrets, summer nostalgia, amateur sleuthing, and escalating danger along the Jersey Shore. Necromancers Don't Read Toe Tags

Book Title on Burnt Paper style picture of a Cornors ToeTag

In Rookford, Illinois, the dead aren't the only ones keeping secrets. Thomas L. Vaultonburg's Necromancers Don't Read Toe Tags is a darkly comic supernatural novel combining occult mystery, institutional corruption, social satire, and the peculiar absurdities of life in the American Midwest. Kitten Killswitch arrives from Chicago's industrial music scene with a past she'd rather forget. At The Collective, Juniper Michaels turns charitable work into public sainthood, while cultural director Nancy McConaughey discovers that protecting an arts community can mean protecting the very people who threaten it. As reputations are manufactured and uncomfortable truths disappear, Elias Mort and Janelle Montclair pursue unfinished accounts through a city where influence reaches far beyond the gallery walls. Belial feeds on disorder, the dead resist convenient explanations, and justice comes with consequences nobody particularly wants to face. Funny, unsettling, irreverent, and occasionally tender, Necromancers Don't Read Toe Tags explores what happens when a community becomes more concerned with appearing virtuous than actually doing good. Newly revised for 2026, the novel has been polished and reintroduced for a new generation of readers. About the Author: Thomas L. Vaultonburg is a Rockford, Illinois-based poet, novelist, and independent publisher. He founded Zombie Logic Press, edits Zombie Logic Review, and co-founded Wolf Twin Books. His writing encompasses supernatural fiction, poetry, haiku, literary criticism, and Midwestern cultural history. Learn more about the author and his work at Zombie Logic Press.

IOH: GODCODE

Infinity Symbol with Persons Head in Middle

IOH: GODCODE

If memory can be rewritten, evidence can be erased, and death is no longer final, who controls the truth?

After twenty years frozen in digital darkness, Algus awakens inside the System—a quantum civilization where consciousness survives death. He has a new body, fractured memories, and no idea why he was hidden for two decades. Then he learns that Agrom City is gone. Fifty million people vanished with it, including the daughter whose face survives only in fragments.

To uncover what happened, Algus must descend into Deepweb cities, reunite a hacker team broken by distrust, and follow evidence leading through artificial intelligence, corporate empires, and a cyberwar born in the physical world. But every answer raises a more dangerous question: who destroyed Agrom—and why did someone wait twenty years to wake him?

GODCODE is Book One of the IOH trilogy—a cinematic cyberpunk mystery thriller set in a corporate dystopian future where a body can be replaced, a life can be priced, and the promise of eternity belongs to those who control the machinery.

What begins as a memory loss mystery opens into an artificial intelligence conspiracy that binds a father's grief to the fate of millions. Algus needs the people he once trusted, but their secrets could make the truth harder to bear than his missing memories.

Blending digital consciousness science fiction with the urgency of a hacker cyberwar thriller, GODCODE explores a digital immortality dystopia where survival offers no guarantee of freedom. To challenge its rulers, Algus must confront the cost of their power—and the choices he is willing to make to bring them down.

Enter the System but do not trust any of your memories.

A Country of Ash

Edge of a foggy Woods with person standing near

A Country of Ash

The mountains caught fire in August. He had already seen the end of the world.

Chicago, 1903. On the coldest afternoon of the year, fireman Silas Dunne climbs the marble stairs of the Iroquois Theater and finds a wall of the dead. He carries out one small girl who is still breathing. His own daughter is not among the living.

Idaho, 1910. Seven years later, Dunne is a drifter with thirty-one cents in his pocket and a brass badge he can't bring himself to throw away. In the mining town of Wallace he signs on to a Forest Service crew for twenty-five cents an hour, cutting fire line in the Bitterroot Mountains under a hard, quiet ranger named Ed Pulaski.

It is the driest summer anyone can remember. The sun rises red and gives no warmth. Ash falls on the town like snow. On the mountain, Dunne takes a red-haired Irish boy from Butte under his wing, and he stands between the crew and a lynch rope when they turn on the immigrant they blame for the fires. Someone is setting them. Dunne begins to suspect who, and he doesn't want to know.

Then, on August 20th, hurricane winds drive three thousand fires together into a single wall of flame. In two days it will burn three million acres and destroy a third of Wallace. Cut off on both sides, forty-five men follow Pulaski into an abandoned mine tunnel, hang wet blankets across the entrance, and wait for the fire to arrive.

What happens in the Nicholson tunnel that night is history. What it costs Silas Dunne, and what he carries out, is the story.

Based on the true events of the Big Burn and the heroism of ranger Ed Pulaski, A Country of Ash is a novel of fire and faith, guilt and mercy, and the terrible arithmetic of survival. It asks what a man owes the dead, and what he still owes the living.
